Meet Bella Wilhm

I’m a poet, mixed media artist and storyteller located on the Cornish coastline.

Everything I create begins with a feeling.

Sometimes it becomes a poem. Sometimes it becomes a painting. Sometimes it’s an evening spent gathered around a table with strangers who leave feeling a little less like strangers.

My work explores human emotion and connection. Through poetry, art and shared experiences, I’m interested in creating spaces where people feel seen, held and understood.

Living and working in Cornwall, the coastline is woven through everything I make. The changing seasons, hidden places and quiet moments all find their way into my work, whether that’s on canvas, on a page or in the conversations shared during workshops and live events.

In 2026, I released my debut poetry and art collection, Hot Water Bottle — a hardback collection of spoken word poetry, original artwork and the Cornish places that inspired each piece.

Whether you’re reading my work, joining me in the studio, inviting me to perform or dreaming up a collaboration, my hope is always the same:
