The story behind the piece…
Aerial Harmony was inspired by one of my earliest memories of Cornwall.
After moving here, I remember standing on the coastline on a bright, sunny day and noticing how the sea and sand seemed to melt into one another. I wrote in my journal:
“Sea and sand blur into aerial harmony.”
Those handwritten words are hidden within the painting itself.
Every original piece I create begins as a journal entry or a line of poetry gathered whilst exploring Cornwall. Those words become the starting point for the artwork, creating layers of story beneath the paint.
This piece has been exhibited throughout Cornwall and is currently hanging in my studio, awaiting the right home.
