Meet Bella Wilhm
I’m Bella, an abstract artist and poet shaped by the wildness of Cornwall and the ever-changing rhythm of the sea.
Living close to the coast, creativity has become my way of connecting more deeply to the Earth and myself. The shifting colours of the Cornish seascape, the beauty of washed-ashore objects and marine plant life, and the tidal energy that defines this place all feed into my work. In paint, poetry, and bold mixed-media pieces, I try to capture the raw beauty and emotion that the coastline stirs in me.
Each artwork is layered with texture, movement, and feeling—reflecting the landscapes, tides, and experiences that shape my life here. I’m drawn to the idea of discovery: hidden details, fragments of poetry, and subtle marks that reveal themselves the closer you look, just like the treasures the ocean leaves behind.
Through my work, I hope to inspire others to see the natural world with fresh eyes and a sense of wonder—to feel connected to something bigger, to remember our place within this vast, beautiful planet, and to honour the environments that nurture us.
This is my creative journey, rooted in Cornwall’s coastal magic and the human experience. I’m grateful you’re here, and I hope you find something that resonates something that stirs curiosity, sparks creativity, or simply reminds you of the beauty that surrounds us.
